Crochet toadstools

Everyone here has had the lurgy this week… Now that winter is here I guess it’s par for the course, but all the same its not been much fun!

In between caring for sick kids (and this weekend, an extremely sick husband) I made my own little ring of crochet toadstools… Crochet toadstoolsComplete with tiny snail!Crochet toadstoolsWhen I look at these photos they look pretty big, but I crocheted them with 4ply wool and a 2.5mm hook – the tallest one is only about 6cm (2.5”) tall, and the snail is only 3cm (1.25”) long, so its all pretty small and VERY cute.

I’m thinking that they could make a cute scene on one of my tea cosies… but for now I’ve made a ‘little patch of grass’ with a felt back and have them sitting on my kitchen shelves where I can admire them every day. So far no fairies have shown up though 🙂
Crochet toadstoolsHow’s your weekend been? What have you been making this week? Jxx

Sorry you family has been ill. Hope you are all better now.
I have been crocheting fashion doll outfits. (I do that a lot) And granny squares from left over yarn from other projects.
It is Summer here so I’m doing small projects. (If I could, I’d send you some warm sunnyshine.)
Love your blog and all the fun things you do. Thanks for sharing.

They are just beautiful!!! I hope everyone is on the mend now. Have been laid up too with a bit of a virus (well, quite a lot of a virus actually!!!) so have been knitting this week. I managed to finish my first ever pair of socks and was thrilled to bits!! Joined a sockaling group and so got lots of support from all over the globe! Amazing 💐😃
Back to some crochet now. Never enough hours etc etc 😊. Take care and look after yourself x

They are adorable! Sorry to hear the dreaded lurgy struck at your place. This week I’ve been sneaking a few stitches here and there on a crocheted racoon hat (that is the hat is a racoon, not a hat for a raccoon…)

Lovely Toadies but I must recommend “olive leaf oil extract” in capsule form. I am not a huge believer in alternative health practices but this does seem to actually work and I give it to my own son who also believes it works and is happy to take it for that reason. All bodies are different though but well worth a try. Take them if one feels an onset of a cold or flu. The theory is they stop the virus from being able to replicate. ❤
