Hello!
This is the little bear I made for my nephew this weekend, because today he is going into hospital to have a small operation.
His satchel was for the very important function of holding the smallest get well card:
Here is the proud recipient – as you can see he was very well received. In addition to the scarf and satchel, he got his very own ‘blankey’.
And I’m happy to report that the op went well, and tonight as I write this both boy and bear are currently tucked up in bed, sound asleep, and already on the mend 🙂

I’m so glad all went well! That’s a cute little bear and he will never forget it! My aunt, the one who taught me to crochet, made me a cape for my first day of first grade. I remember how excited I was to wear it, and I still have it. She’s gone now, so it’s even more special to me now.

The ‘Little Bear’ you made for your nephew is adorable. I’m sure he will be so happy to have the bear with him. It is such a lovely thing to do for him during what could be a scary time. Thank you for sharing. I will be making some for the little guys and gals in my life, especially my new granddaughter who is 5 1/2 months old.

The little bear is so cute. It looks safe for little children to play with. It has character and I see it can be crocheted in different colors. I really like that!
