How’s your week going? We are in the midst of some very changeable crazy weather, it’s hot, cold, wet, fine, thundery and windy – sometimes all at the same time. But then I guess that’s allowed now we are in mid-spring!
Despite the weather (or maybe because of it) my garden is blooming into life. I’m loving the almost black of those darkest purple violas…
Not to mention the vibrant blues, mauves, yellows, brightest cherise and palest pinks. Ok, I admit, I love them all!
Maia and I walked around the garden, chatting and snipping, then brought our collection in to scatter and be admired on our kitchen table…
Later, the blooms were arranged into 4 tiny posies by the children.
Aren’t spring flowers just beautiful whichever way you look at them?
They really make my heart sing! So what’s blooming in your garden just now? What’s colouring your world?
I hope you have a bright and beautiful week xoxoxo
I’m jealous! It’s minus 8F, going to be minus 14F tonight, with a few more inches of snow on Friday., here in the Black Hills of South Dakota, USA. 15 minutes away from Mt Rushmore. Beautiful pictures of the flowers. Thanks for sharing.

Glad I’m not in SD (so sorry for your bitter cold temps Becky), but here in central Illinois we are experiencing the coldest temps of the season so far. And we may get a bit of snow on the weekend. So far none of the white stuff has appeared.
The flowers are absolutely gorgeous! Love those purples especially! It’s a feast for the eyes. thanks for sharing.

Your flowers are so beautiful!! I love spring!
It´s a rainy day here in Europe and I´m enjoying a hot cup of tea while trying to convince myself that my dog (that is laying sleeping in her favourite corner) really wants to go out for a walk. Luckily it´s not so cold for the season, (we still have 10 °C +) so a cardigan is enough.

Your photography is amazing, I love all the colours too and the way you arranged them throughout all the shots is fab. Just heading into the cold months here in the UK so I am sat here sniffing as I type, coming down with a cold.

Rug up, hope you aren’t getting a cold! My advice, stay inside and do lots of crafty stuff, and cooking soups 🙂

I’m starting to envy those of you in the southern hemisphere. It’s bleak and grey here in England at the end of autumn so not much is brightening up my garden. However, I do enjoy seeing my winter greens growing, some of the autumn leaves are still glowing and as the foliage levels decrease, I get more chance to spot the robins fighting in my garden, so I suppose it’s not all bad. Your flowers are lovely, thanks for sharing them.
