Carter requested a snake pleasssssssse…
But once I made one it was hard to ssssstop!
It was alssso hard to stop thinking up silly snaky alliterations!
So if you want to make one sweet sneaky snake, or six…
You can find the superb simple sweet and not at all silly scaly or scary crochet snake pattern right here.
The only change I made to the pattern was to insert a couple of pipe cleaners wound together (and the ends bent over so they don’t poke out) inside each snake to make them nice a twistable 🙂
I love the blue cushion cover that appears in some of your photos. I think your photography is so good – you capture so much detail in flowers and feeling in scenery, like the misty morning, and so much fun for your children. We are pensioners living in Spain and wish I had your patience and stamina for all you manage in a day. Thanks I love reading your page.

Hello Pamela in Spain, lovely to hear from you! I love to take photos, and take much joy myself from looking back over them, and I’m so glad to hear that someone else also loves to see them too 🙂 my little family is growing up so quickly I often feel like the time is flying by at an incredible rate and I’m not fitting enough in, they sure are well loved though! Have a wonderful day xx Janette

A great collection of snakes. I made one for my granddaughter recently and I wondered how to make it twisty. Will try a pipe cleaner next time.

Love these slippy little snakes, they look so simple to make but obviously your little man is having hours of fun playing with them.

They look like fun. Maybe I could use up some of the little balls of yarn I tidied up yesterday.

The snakes look great, just like everything else! I tried the chicks but as i followed the tutorial my poor little chick got really wavy, like one of those rock and roll skirts! I can’t seem to find what the problem is. Too bad I could not make any of those chicks to run around spain!

What a lovely posting with all the softly hissing snaky s:es – you really should make a children´s picture-book out of this, Janette, make up a story around the snakes, how about it? I am sure, you could do it, multi-talented as you are in crafts, photography and writing.
Just love to visit your blog.
