Autumn

Β  The weather is getting colder and the leaves are falling… Autumn 4Autumn 5Autumn 3 Autumn 2 Autumn Leaves I love how these two photos capture the beauty of the last few moments of the autumnal sun:Autumn 7 Autumn 6We took a stroll along the river and through the gardens this afternoon between 3 and 4pm, it’s amazing now how much shorter the days are now. It was a beautiful sunny day, but as the sun faded the chill night air moved in, so we headed for home.

How’s your week been? What’s the weather like where you are? J xox

Hi. Your photos are beautiful. Here in the UK we still need our Wellies most days but today has been bright and sunny. Rain forecast for the next four days though! I’m sure summer will arrive soon. Have a great weekend x

I love autumn, but here in the southern USA summer has just begun! It’s in the 90’s (F) during the day, and the 70’s at night. It is humid and the bugs are everywhere! However, it is beautiful and the flowers and vegetables are beautiful right now. Your photos are so pretty and make me miss autumn.

I forgot to mention the thunderstorms in the afternoon. We are having one right now. Later it will feel like a steam bath!

I lived in Oklahoma for 4 years so I know what hot summer weather and thunderstorms can be like… we don’t get thunderstorms like that in New Zealand – they are something else! Enjoy you (hot!!!) summer! Jxx

Lovely pictures! It is strange seeing the fall when we’re just entering summer in Ontario, Canada! I love the changing seasons though not overly fond of winter! πŸ™‚

I love that time of the day in the early summer… here it was still dark until after 7am (and again by 5pm). Enjoy your garden and have a great weekend πŸ™‚

Your photography is absolutely stunning. Thank you for posting such beautiful images. (By the way, do you mind me asking whether you’ve got a DSLR camera to do this, or just a normal digital or iPhone etc? Cos your pictures are really amazing.)

Thanks for the beautiful photos. It’s hard to resist taking photos of autumn leaves. Their color is perfect for such a brief time. Our leaves down in Central Southland have blown away or turned brown. Yesterday I was unable to resist taking photos of brown leaves edged with white frost while working in the garden.

I love taking photos in the frost to, but so far this year the frosts have all been on school/work mornings which are to hectic to get outside and spend time with the camera! x

Here in New Jersey, on the East Coast of the US, it’s the end of Spring and we are getting ready for Summer! Oh and so needed! We had a very long, cold and very snowy winter! We were starting to think we would never see grass or anything green again! Your pictures are very pretty… I do love Fall, but I can wait the 5 months before it starts for us again! Enjoy your new season! πŸ™‚

I started full time work again this Monday and have been so tired from having to wake up early again! So not used to it! But loving working again after being a Hausfrau for two years in Germany! I’m missing being in the northern hemisphere though! It’s getting colder and colder, nowhere near as cold as Germany, but lots of the blogs I read and Youtube channels I watch are British or American, and they all have spring-inspired things, and I’m really missing warm weather! It’s refreshing to see that you’re going through autumn/heading into winter too!

I live in the mountains of NC and last night was chilly! But summer is coming and all is green and growing. My yard is full of clover, which I’m leaving for the bees even though the grass is getting too high. Fall is my favorite season, so I enjoyed your pictures of autumn leaves, just lovely.

Sounds lovely Joy, I love clover too- but we have a lot of bees (thankfully) and the children both ended up with bee stings (and so did I)… guess we need to keep our eyes open!!!

It felt kind of weird to read this post because today in the UK, we had above average humidity and it was rather warm. It was my first ‘No Socks’ day of this year actually!
Isn’t it weird to think that it’s the opposite temperature somewhere else? Kind of like they’re/you’re a few months behind!

But I love your photos. Autumn is always so warm and cozy, isn’t it? Like a log fire

Here in the UK we are waking up to a warm sunny day. We are meant to be in ‘flaming June’ but so far it has been rather a wash out than the start of summer.
Lovely photos btw. I have the same camera and use that mode most of the time to get great shots although I wish I had the time to learn a little more about it.

Lovely photographs. It is always strange to think that you are going towards winter while we are going towards summer. Still six months ago it was the other way round and though I would miss winter if it didn’t happen, I feel more energised by the thought of summer.

Im not so sure I would miss winter… maybe if I just travelled around the endless summer??? I guess we wouldnt appreciate spring so much if it didnt follow winter πŸ™‚ xx

LOL! I love hearing about the opposite season and I love your photos of my absolute favourite season! Gorgeous! Here, on the other side of the globe (Canada) it is finally summer. The winter seemed to never end this year so it feels amazing to shed some layers and enjoys the rays. πŸ™‚
