My latest project is taking a while, its big and intricate. There’s no rush, I’m enjoying the crochet meditation and plodding along. I love using these big cones of yarn slowly unwinding and the satisfying feeling of the wool flowing through my fingers, row after row. Unfortunately the urge to begin another (quick) project is almost… a-l-m-o-s-t overwhelming me.
Beautiful colour! Looking forward to seeing the end result. I too love those slow plodding type of projects. I’m still working on my hexagon blanket but think my next project will have long, soothing methodical rows. Have a great day x

What a lovely project to have at hand while doing all the ‘quickies’. Are you going to share the pattern?

I did just that! I have a huge bunny I’m making and all I have to do is get the legs and arms done, couldn’t resist the temptation and started a quick doily project! Your project is beautiful! I love intricate patterns! Hugz Lisa and Bear

Crochet Meditation! That’s exactly what those larger projects become. especially when the pattern is really straight forward and repetitive (repetitive in a good way).

I can’t just do one slow project. I have to mix in a quick or mindless one too to mix it up!

It is lovely to combine a large project with small ones. The larger ones are so relaxing to do, while the small ones are just for fun. Your green yarn is gorgeous!!

Rows getting longer? A shawl? I like mixing small and large projects. So you get the buzz of finishing something more often.

Where do you get your cone yarn?

Hi, random small sellers of yarn… Usually (like this one) it’s homespun. I’d love to give spinning a try someday too, but at the moment I just don’t have time!

Love the emerald green. I’m working on a blanket for my partner’s grandmother but every time I complete another stage I go off and make something else!

Beautiful colour yarn!
I was wondering if you ever got around to writing up the pattern for your lacy border that you used on the crochet throw you finished in April?

Oh my goodness, I didn’t! I’ll have to do that! It completely slipped my mind ๐

I loove that colour x I always have 4 or 5 different projects on the go and do whichever I feel like doing at the time which always keeps the inspiration fresh when making – unless of course, there’s a time limit and then I drop all else and crochet crazily!!!

I wish I could do that, but if I do I never finish them and that really bugs me (and the fact I have a whole draw of unfinished projects… really bugs my husband!) Im determined to finish this one this weekend!!! xx

Yes I agree, some times it’s lovely to have a project on the go that you can pick up and put down (if you can!) and a beautiful crochet one is perfect, love the colour, will you be showing us when it is finished?
Best wishes, Jay
