Once upon a time there was a very cute family of crochet bunnies…And although it seems like they were born only yesterday…
This month they turned one year old (so a special celebration was in order):
And they were allowed free rein in the vege garden – for one afternoon only! The spinach patch may never recover…Not to mention lots of extra special cuddles…
This crochet bunny pattern has become far and away my most popular post and tutorial.
There are hundreds of bunnies on their very own Ravelry page.
In the past year I have received so many wonderful emails from people with stories of their bunny creations (almost always with photos attached). I love that such a simple design has brought happiness to so many people all over the world… I’d like to say thank you to everyone who made a bunny (or 18!), and took the time to send me a note or comment!
So in honor of the famous nibble nibble Easter bunnies, this week I have created a new Easter friend – Cheep cheep the crochet chick!Ill be back soon with the (very easy!) pattern!
In the meantime if you have made a bunny you might like to post photo on the Green Dragonfly Facebook page and/or a comment below linking to a photo so everyone who reads this post can see them too! 🙂 Jxox
I have crocheted Easter Bunnies last year : http://madametrico.canalblog.com/archives/2013/03/31/26785601.html
Cheep cheep the crochet chick is very cute. I am sure that my Easter Bunnies would like to have a new friend (I look foward to this pattern. And thank you in advance for that)
Have a nice day !

I’m not much of a crafter but I have promised by 7 year old daughter that we will learn to knit together, so maybe crocheting will come after that!

Thanks for such a great pattern. I made one as a Christmas gift last year: http://ruthsplace.wordpress.com/2013/12/08/a-rabbit-and-christmas-cards/
It was a hit with my rabbit-loving niece.

After reading your post yesterday, I got the Easter decorations out. My daughter hugged and hugged the little bunny I had made for her last year and it has been everywhere with us since! So lovely to think something so simple can still bring so much pleasure a whole year later. I love the chicken you’ve made. Can’t wait to add one (or several!) to our Easter collection. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration. I hope you and your family have a very happy Easter x

I LOVE this little bunny, and have made a few versions of this as gifts. I added a few photos in my latest blogpost, and when I looked up your blog to find a link to the pattern, I saw this post and figured I’d leave a link to the post for you. This is my interpretations of your bunny, and as you can see I’ve made a few changes, but the basic pattern is from you. Thank you 🙂

Love your patterns and appreciate you posting them for everyone to enjoy. I’ve recently started making amigurumi and have learnt to go down at least 1 hook size so stuffing doesn’t show. You don’t do this with your bunnies and chicks but the stuffing doesn’t appear to show. I’m just starting on your bunny. Is there a tricky to stuffing them?
