Goodness me, it’s been a while hasn’t it? No real reason for a lack of posts, except that I have been waiting for topic inspiration to strike – which hasn’t really… Lots has been going on, but nothing that has struck me as truly inspirational and write-about-worthy – or maybe its the added pressure that more of you are now following me and I feel like I should say only noteworthy and sensible things?
This week I’m loving cups of tea from my new dragonfly cup… the weather is cooling, not during the day so much but cooler mornings and evenings, which signal that autumn is indeed here. My blanket is coming along ~ slowly ~ but I promise you, progress is being made. I’m working on the last round of edging… in gorgeous duck egg blue. Once the edge is complete there’s only the ends to sew in, so I’m hoping to have a finished throw to share by the end of the week (sooner if I actually start crocheting more and procrastinating less!).So on that note, now that the children are tucked up in bed and the evening is closing in, I’m off to sip my tea and crochet a little more. How’s your week going, what are you working on right now? Do tell… Janette xox
your blanket seems really gorgeous!!!!!
I’m crocheting the last rows of mine!!!!!

Oh love your blanket! Duck egg blue is such a pretty colour, I must get some yarn and work a project with it.
Your dragonfly cup is beautiful too. Happy hooking.

I have been knitting a squared blanket for my daughter since last summer and now I really wish that I had decide to crochet instead as it is taking forever. On a positive note, I have recently seen a pattern for a blanket which mixes different sized squares and so I am going to change the design half way through. Also, I am running out of the yarn that she chose for the blanket so other colours will have to start creeping in. It all makes for a unique piece of work!

I’m on a mission to finish making and decorating all my hand sewn notebooks. I’m on the last one today! I’ve already shared the how-to for making the notebooks, but I can’t wait to share how I’ve decorated them! After that, I should really focus on our move back to Australia!

They sound great, I love to cover notebooks…but haven’t tried to make them from scratch before. Packing doesn’t sound like nearly as much fun!

Your blanket looks great. I am working on designing a tiny crochet owl pattern. I promise your children will want one if you show them. I have another contest to post first, then my Owl pattern but first I HAVE to show you my friends niece enjoying one of your dear mousies.

Everything will happen in its own time. And you will finish the blanket at the perfect moment. We will be patient. The anticipation of unfurling the final piece is one of the best parts of the project. We know the wait will be well worth it.

I love your teacup! It’s so whimsical! Over the weekend I finished 3 baby blankets, approx 34 – 37 inches. For my crochet class, I’m trying to finish the brick-stitch bag, I just have the handles to crochet, and then sew the ends. And then one project down, more to go!

Just started following your page, wonderful. 2 months ago I started crocheting a granny square blanket simple pattern for my first one and have about 13 blocks to go. So I love looking at different peoples ideas on what too creat. I am a big fan on colours, what colours go with what, one of my favourite colours is orange followed by the rainbow. Keep up the great ideas.

Lovely blanket. My version of that pattern became a 1960s inspired, very long sleeveless cardigan that I don’t think I will ever wear! Currently I am learning to knit socks – the first one is complete and the second one is well under way. However, the pattern is very simple (it has an afterthought heel) and I want to learn a traditional heel so that will be my next challenge.
