It’s been so hot here this week, and I’ve been working away (perhaps more accurately I should say sweating away) under my crochet throw. I’m now about half way through joining the squares… the progress is making me happy. However the decision to crochet a heavy woolen throw mid-summer is making me question my sanity. I’ll share some photos over the next few days.
In between the crochet I’m still sewing up a storm…
This time new chevron cushions to matchy match my new orange mat…
My blue crochet cushion, adds wonderful contrast. I still have an urge to add some more turquoise blue cushions into the mix so I may have to return to the fabric store and see if I can find something suitable. 
This beautiful phalaenopsis orchid also blends right in.
Slowly the room has been overtaken by orange… I wonder if my family will notice?

Can’t wait for the unveiling of the new throw. And since we are in the coldest month of the year here in the United States, it’s a perfect time to start a circle throw myself. You know it must have lots of orange. Thanks for the inspiration.

Love orange but it clashes with the reds in my home. I worked hard on a crocheted blanket one summer living in Arizona. Never did that again. Big crocheting projects are worked on in the winter now when I can use the extra warmth.

I vote for the orange! But perhaps you could also combine the turquoise with it too? It will still contract well with the orange. Absolutely love the zig zag pillow – definitely inspiring me to make one of my own some time!

I’m a little late to the show, but my living room is mostly gray with orange and blue accents – I might try that round blue pillow. Love it’s texture and pattern – looks great next to the chevron. Thanks for the inspiration!
