It seems like life to have picked up the pace a notch or three recently… here’s a bit of what we’ve been up to the past week or so.
Enjoying being outside:Making lots of these: Watching the bees hard at work:Crocheting (starting a lot, finishing a little): Loving the ripe juicy sweetness of spring strawberries: Enjoying foxgloves in my vege garden: Waiting patiently for my potatoes to be ready:Smelling this gorgeous geranium every time I brush past:Eating lots of lovely light meals now the weather is warmer:Marveling at the eggs that fell when a blackbird nest blew out of the tree in our yard:More crocheting (I must confess that while I’m quite fond of these wee mice, my children inform me they look like goblin mice. Thanks guys, tell me what you really think why don’t ya):Loving self seeded aquilegias:Planting (well need to get planting) these verbena:Feeling more than a little bit tired, and glad tomorrow is Friday! How is your week going? x Janette

It is fall in my corner of the world. While I love fall, I miss my pretty flowers and my vegetable garden. My husband just opened the door and my entire lawn is blanketed with gorgeous leaves. Thank you for your post! I feel as though I am enjoying the best of both worlds right now. Bless you!

What a morale booster to read you blog, especially in the winter. Across the world, here in Ontario, Canada, the weather is getting colder and grimmer with the sun setting earlier and earlier. My daughter mentionned the other day when I picked her up from daycare that I was picking her up at night! Hmmm, how refreshing to know that it is always beautiful somewhere in the world if it isn’t in your own garden. Enjoy your day & your weekend!
P.S. I think the mice a absolutely adorable!

Oh dear, not my favourite leaving home in the morning and arriving home in the evening in the dark either! Never mind, it passes quickly, and just think- more time for crafting, cozy in front of the fire 🙂

Ah Spring! I remember Spring! Love all your beautiful photographs and fascinated by the bracelets. And I can see what your children mean: the mice do have a mean goblin look about them. Wouldn’t want to meet one on a dark night. 🙂

Spring is always so much fun 😉 The rubber band bracelets are all the rage here. My 12 year old has been driving me bonkers wanting the kit. Hope you continue having a nice spring 🙂

We made our own little ‘maker’ so they only cost $3.99 for the bands and you can get 6 or so bracelets from a pack. Maia loves making them xx
