Random deliciousness

I’m just stopping by to share a little mid-afternoon snacking with you. Do you ever get an overwhelming desire for a certain flavor? If this sounds familiar, you will totally understand this post.

This afternoon, in a brief 10 minute window of opportunity between finishing work and collecting children, I needed to have chocolate. And marmalade. Together…

Chocolate marmalade sandwich 4That’s all I wanted to share. I fully appreciate that right at this moment some of you are reading this and screwing up your nose in distaste. For those that think this sounds lovely (and believe me it was) you’re welcome. But I think I may have to go for a run now. Jxx

I think that it’s a pity I’ve just eaten, ’cause that sounds delicious – it reminded me of a sandwich I was quite fond of when I was younger – toasted banana & chocolate spread.
I may have to dig out the sandwich maker πŸ™‚

Chocolate spread and marmalade sandwiches were my childhood favourites. This version seems a bit more sophisticated…although I think I need to test that theory sooner rather than later πŸ™‚ (PS: Marmalade on bread and cheese and raspberry jam on cream cheese are rather lovely combinations too!)

Gotta love those cravings! I get chcoolate cravings too. I’ve never tried chocolate with marmalade but I like to buy chocolate oranges at Christmas time (orange flavored chocolate in the shape of an orange, in case you don’t have them). Yours looks yummy too πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing.
    Blessings πŸ™‚
