I can hardly believe it’s the first of June already.

It’s funny how talkative my little man becomes on these afternoon excursions. When he’s with his older sister he’s really not much of a talker, but when it’s just he and I, he talks almost constantly and is really very good company.
It was lovely to be outside, if a little chilly with the threat of rain never far away.
We also gathered a large collection of leaves and such. So when we picked up Maia from school we decided to make nature pictures (you know, gluing the collected items to card)…
…which evolved into autumn peg people, and autumn peg fairies:
My latest project is taking shape quickly, I hope to have it mostly finished by the end of the weekend.

Here in North Wales England the sun is out,we have had a lot of rain and are thankful to see the sun.I’m gardening this morning then I’ll sit and enjoy the rest of the day knitting. LOL Thank you so much for your blog. I find the things you do with the kids great,keep it you. Xx

We have a thunderstorm here. One of my little dogs keeps running outside and barking every time it thunders. He is so brave but I am going to keep him in now. The peg fairies are lovely.

Hi Janette, It’s suppose to be winter here, but that hasn’t happened yet!!! It’s kind of weird because the trees are bare and almost everything has died but it is still hot!! No Jerseys nor blanket have come out yet (Except my Granny I’m working on)Love the beautiful peg people and fairies!!! Have a lazy crafty weekend!!!

Love the peg folks. Here in South Carolina it’s been sunny and in the high eighties. We have a baseball game to go to this weekend and looking forward to school being out for the summer next week. I love reading your blog keep up the good work.

Here in North Carolina, USA, it’s in the 90’s!! Fahrenheit that is! I want to go outside to knit my sock, but it’s just too hot! Can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on! I’m currently about to finish a second sock (yay! Because I told myself I wouldn’t start another project until I had finished the socks) plus, a cream and white shawl which is so fun to work on. I’m itching to start the Holden Shawlette. Too many things to make…not enough time!

I’ll never get used to this whole reverse seasons thing! It can’t possibly be winter in June. summer has been visiting us here in the north of the UK. I say visiting because you never know if it’s really going to stay…Love the autumn fairy peg people. Might have a go at those in about 5 months time.

I was very startled by your post until I realized where you live! I have lived near the Equator, so I know what it’s like to not really have seasons, but I wonder what it would be like to have them reversed!!! Gosh- if I’d found your post earlier then I wouldn’t have had to have a private granny square lesson. Nice instructions!
