Fairy party

If you have been reading for a while you will remember that Maia’s birthday is in the week before Christmas, so we celebrate her birthday a few weeks early to give a bit of space before Christmas. This year Maia requested a fairy party…. it was certainly a magical affair!fairy partyWith fairy crafts (fairy house building)… I got the idea here, it was a complete hit and the finished houses were wonderful, they also enjoyed making wings for little dolls:fairy party crafts 2fairy party 4fairy party 5fairy party 6There was, of course, fairy themed food – marshmallow toadstools (dipped in white chocolate and a dab to glue the big marshmallow top to the little marshmallow stalk) and fairy pizza….

It looks like a wonderful party. My sons birthday is right before Christmas as well and we celebrate it at the beginning of the month as well, it definately cuts down on the hassle at Christmas time and makes their special day way more special.

What a magical day for Maija. Little Son’s birthday is just after Christmas and it is difficult to make sure the day is given its own time. He doesn’t like parties so we go out as a family for a treat lunch and he has some money to be able to spend anyway he likes. This makes it a bit different from the Christmas presents then. Happy birthday to Maija for when the day comes. Lily. xxx

Fantastic ideas. I showed my 6 yr old the fairy houses as she is having a fairy tea party and she can’t wait to have a go. Thanks for sharing.

The dolls just came from a $ shop… I think they were $2 each. We made the wings, they coloured them and we attached them to the dolls using pipe cleaners. Hope that helps 🙂
