Is orange for you?

Now see the beautiful sunset ore the ocean blue
Fiery colors due abound of poems there are a few

I wish that I could write one, about that perfect hue

But nothing rhymes with Orange.

Jeff Opperman

Its true, nothing rhymes with it, but I’ve personally always loved the rich warmth of orange. It seems to be a color of strong opinions, either you love it or loath it! For me its definitely love, and serendipitously I have two projects on the go right now… both in orange.

While it’s normally a color I would associate with autumn and winter, this afternoon as I was wandering around in between the spring squalls we have had today, there was plenty of orange to be seen (and snapped to share with you). Thanks you for all the lovely comments about the tea cosy- you are all so special! I hope you are having a bright Tuesday. Cheerio! xox

I love orange…especially burnt orange… and your crochet square in orange and grey is EXACTLY what I have had in mind for a cushion! It is funny how colours seem to go in and out of fashion though… I used to HATE orange… but in the last couple of years…oooo I just love it (unless it’s acidic – then I hate it)!! Hugs, Jill x

    Hi there,
I must admit I never really considered crafting anything in orange, now I have seen your photos, however, my payday purchase this month has to be orange and grey yarn.
    Thanks for the inspiration

    Oh! Orange, for a change!
    May its warm vibrant range
    Of tones light our fairyland
Afterall, we all need a zest of orange
    To make us plunge
    In an ocean of optimism

    oops! I got carried away!…

The orange rose is positively spectacular. Orange is the best matting of red and yellow! To encourage your orange love, there an adorable orange top at http://mylittlecitygirl.com/ that would look great on Miai. It’s crocheted of course, there many more free patterns. I’ve made the garden party hat for gifts. enjoy Anastasia
