Dahlias are one of my favourite summer flowers, and I’m are so lucky that there are plenty in bloom in our neighbourhood right now. Just to brighten your day (and mine of course!) I’m going to share a few Dazzling beauties with you. Not grown by me, but all snapped on the street where we live.

I too love dahlias they are so show-offy aren’t they. One day I will grow a border of them so we can pick some too…..the only think that I’m not so keen on are the earwigs, do you get them with you?

We get ear wigs here too but you know I haven’t noticed them in my dahlias? My husband hassled my geekiest with the d words, so I was so happy that you added another, it made me feel like less of a dork! X

It is cold en cloudy here, so yes you make me happy with your photos of these beautiful dahlias. One of my favorite flowers too. Because it is not even spring yet there is a vase of tulips on my table. Tulips are my favorites. Thanks for sharing!

What beautiful flowers. Its the middle of winter here in the UK and there is not much colour anywhere. I am looking forward to daffodils and bluebells but they are a little way off yet.

We have had a mild winter here in Michigan but woke up to about 6 inches and still falling of snow. Very pretty but I would rather wake up to dahlias blooming. thanks for sharing!

Oh!! So nice!! I have purple dahlias. They are amazing! I thought the plant was dead from a freeze, and then the next thing I knew, green grew straight out of what appeared to be a dead stem. What beauty!!
