Rippling progress

Well I was making good progress this week with the pink ripple, but have hit a bit of a problem. You see I thought I still had another ball of the bright pink… but after searching high and low apparently that is not the case.  A quick trip to Spotlight yeilded no results, so my Mum is trying the Spotlight where she lives to see if they have it.  Eek!

Here’s how the throw is looking and the offending wool.

Crochet Ripple blanket and orchidsMum gave me that beautiful orchid spray about 2 and a half weeks back and its still going strong, I love the pale green and pink together.

OrchidIm going to head on over and check out how everyone else is doing at Carole’s, why don’t you have a squizz too?

Lots of Love, Janette xxoo

PS. I got my cast off today, yay! But am back in the moon boot (boo).

Oh Janette…one step forward and one step..in a boot…. back 🙂 Never mind, it will soon be mended, and I’m sure you will find some scrumptious pink soon.. maybe have a search on Ravelry – I once ran out of a rare yarn and a lovely lady sent me a spare ball from Holland for nothing! :)x

    Wow the flowers are gorgeous.

I feel your pain on the yarn front, I’ve been teetering on the edge of having enough/not enough….thankfully I found my well stashed cotton so have, I think, got enough! I only have one square left to do and then the border, so I hope they are not too cotton-heavy as otherwise I will be well and truly stuffed.

Hope your extra pink materialises, and glad you have your cast off, hope you’re all back to normal in double quick speed.

Blanket is beautiful. I hope you get more of the pink. You’ll probably find a rogue ball of pink hiding in some completely random place once you’ve the blanket finished. Hope you get sorted, looking forward to seeing more of the ripples next week 🙂

I’m sorry about your yarn. I hope you can find it soon so that you can continue your lovely blanket! I like orchids a lot. They’re like small dragons for your tabletop! Good luck getting your yarn! 🙂

Thanks Danielle, I love orchids too. Ive tried to grow them a number of times and never had any luck- its much easier to buy a spray and they last for such a long time and look so fabulous!

Yikes. I was just commenting on a completely different blog about how I ran out of wool when we were al snowed in last year and the post man couldn’t get to us. I really hope you find some. Maybe if you don’t you could put some information about it on here next week and lots of us will have a look.
