“Just living is not enough,” said the butterfly.
“One must have freedom, sunshine, and a little flower.”
Hans Christian Anderson
In my garden this morning: Hickey Pickety. Lettuces and pansies. Daikon Radish. Marvel of Four Seasons Lettuce. Tomato seedlings. Spinach and Radish. Silverbeet. Parsley. Artichoke. Last Cabbage. Alpine Strawberries… we’ve been eating these for a few weeks now. Sage Flowers are my favourite. Calendula- they are like little rays of sunshine. Thyme in flower with Beets Bright Lights behind. Broad Beans. Dumbo the chicken. Rhubarb. Black Pansies. Mesculan Salad. Abundant Tangelos. (Not so) patiently awaiting the first real strawberries. Garlic in front of potatoes.
I hope there is a little flower in your day! Janette xxx

Thanks Katie, they make me smile too and give us lots of lovely eggs as well… Life without chickens wouldn’t be much of a life at all!

Ooo…What a lovely garden! I am envious! We are buying a house soon and I hope to have a nice garden then.
Thanks for getting back to me about your yarn. It just looks so pretty and I am always on the lookout for great colors in a yarn that looks nice and washes well. Oh, and that doesn’t break the bank!
Have a great week.
