    • Wonderful and useful patterns and very generous of you to share them. I liked all of them but particularly liked the flower pillow and the cheeky monkey hat. I plan to make the flower pillow and when I have finished I will post a photo. Also the jar pin cushion topper is quite ingenious. I thought I knew all there was to know about pincushions but never thought of this excellent idea! It is true, one is never too old to learn. LOL. I recently showcased a variety of pin cushion ideas on my blog. May I direct people from my web page to “the green dragonfly” to view your wonderful patterns?
I am about sustainable living and that very much includes making and repairing things by hand.

  1. hi Janette, your crochet tutorials are just fantastic! also love your kids craft ideas, your children must have a ball at home. Just wondering about the cotton yarn that you use for your crochet, do you know if it is available through the internet at all? it looks really lovely and not fuzzy like the cotton yarn that i have, the colours are brilliant. Love the dianthus top that you made, the colours look amazing. thanks so much for sharing.

  3. Wow, what an amazing website… Your creations are amazing and inspiring. My mom taught me to crochet at an early age, but of course, I didn’t pay attention. Now that I’m older and with a 3 1/2 daughter, have started to get back to it. I consider my self a beginner since, I didn’t pay attention way back when… I will try to do the hair ties for my daughter. Being a fan of dragon flies, I love the name of your website…

  4. I said I’d let you know when I was finished with your hearts. Here is my blog where I posted a pic of the finished garland. I love it! thanks for the pattern!

  5. Such cute crochet patterns!! I am new to crochet, I only really learnt over this past month and I am just addicted! You’re tutorials have provided fuel to my fire! The girls dress with the crochet yoke is especially gorgeous!!!!

  6. I love your heart bunting…(and all your other patterns) and it’s on my to-do-list! Making little hearts is super therapeutic!

  10. I would like to crochet cute slippers but for some or other reason i struggle to find a pattern that works well enough. something with a sole. Do you think you can take some time and help me with a pattern?

  11. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creative spirit. I love your crochet and all the beauty you bring into your life. I am working on a charity project and have made your Princess Poppy with the granny cardigan. It came out wonderfully. Blessings

  14. I came across your blog when I saw someone share your Easter bunnies on Facebook. Your patterns are so pretty :-) I definitely plan on trying some of them. I noticed above one of the pictures you said people can have the patterns for their personal use. Does that mean you prefer people not sell what they make from your patterns?

  15. I came across your blog while searching for doily patterns for my pinterest page. I really love it! And thank you for being so willing to share patterns–I really appreciate it & you have some wonderful ones. Blogs like yours inspire me to one day have my own and share patterns, ideas, etc. THANK YOU!!

  16. You have some pretty, fun and very useful patterns. I love to make things for the children I know. It is great of you to share your patterns!

  17. Hi! I have a Facebook page with a lot of followers and I’d like to share your patterns on it, showing the link to your page. Is that possible? Thank you in advance

  18. Hi Janette
You have some lovely things on this site. I was wondering if I may sell anything I make. I will of course put labels crediting your patterns if I sell through any of our various markets around here, or link through if I sell through e-bay, Gumtree or maybe the Etsy shop I am trying to set up (trying being the operative word – having problems). I live in Australia in a little rural area. I am really looking forward to making the Rosy Posy Tea Cozy, Cheeky Monkey Hat and the Caity cat among others. So cute. Different too. Just what people look for. I don’t have a website of my own – wouldn’t know how to set one up

  19. back in the early eighties,,,they had crocheted dolls ,,,,I am interested,,,I love this program,,,,

  24. Oh my goodness! Happened upon your cite yesterday. I saw your adorable crochet cat and from there, started a list of everything I would need for several of your lovely items. Well, here I am tonight, surrounded by all this beautiful yarn. But too excited and don’t know which one to begin with! Thank you for the ideas for so many holiday gifts. I love all your colorful projects and your blog.

  25. I. Thought I seen a knit or crochet bear rug or blanket on your website. Before. Do you know how I could get a pattern for it? Please reply back I really want to make it for my son. Thankyou

  26. Just discovered your site and was amazed at all the things you offer. It is so sweet of you to offer your patterns for free as there are some people would not be able to make your wonderful items if they had to pay for each item, it leaves them with money to buy the yarn needed to make the items. It also encourges others to try more of your items. I am so glad I found you & will be following you. God bless.

  31. I just wanted to say that I am absolutely in love with your site! I do, however, wish you had some dragonfly patterns on here! Lol. But in all seriousness, you are amazing an very talented. Also, you have adorable children that are amazing little models. I aspire to, one day, be half as good as you are with crocheting.

    • Thanks Alicia, I did make a dragonfly once, but I didnt post the pattern! Thanks so much for your lovely comment- you really made my day :) xx
